- Chunxi Road: Start at this bustling breakfast street. Try congee (rice porridge) with preserved eggs or youtiao (fried dough sticks) at Lao Ma Guan.
Morning (9:00 AM – 11:30 AM):
- Hawker's Alley: Sample iconic Chengdu snacks like fuqi feipian (dumpling skins), la zi ji (spicy chicken), and cui guo (fried rice cakes). Visit Chengdu Snack Street for a wider variety.
- People's Park: Relax in the park's tea houses, where locals play mahjong and enjoy huoguo (hotpot).
Afternoon (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
- Sichuan Provincial Museum: Learn about the region's history, including the Zhouyi Jiang bronze rhino, a national treasure.
- Chengdu Sichuan Opera House: Watch a live performance of Sichuan opera or piying (twilight opera).
