The trip then transitions to Hangzhou, featuring serene West Lake, Buddhist temples, and eco-friendly experiences at Xixi National Wetland Park. Itinerary

Day 1Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival in Beijing

- Airport Pickup & Hotel Check-in: Students are greeted at the airport and transferred to a centrally located hotel. After rest, a welcome dinner introduces them to Chinese cuisine.  

- Evening Orientation: A brief introduction to Beijing's history and daily routines is shared.

Day 2Day 2 (Monday): Imperial Heritage

1. The Forbidden City (故宫)  

  The Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, served as China's imperial palace for 500 years. Students explore its grand halls, courtyards, and artifacts, learning about emperors' lives and traditional architecture. A scavenger hunt activity highlights symbols like dragons and phoenixes.  

   - Duration: 3 hours.  

2. Hutong Tour: Explore Beijing's historic alleyways via rickshaw, learning about old Beijing lifestyles. Students try making dumplings or flying kites.  

   - Duration: 4–6 hours.

Day 3Day 3 (Tuesday): Great Wall Adventure

1. Mutianyu Great Wall (八达岭长城)  

  Students hike or take a cable car to experience the Great Wall's breathtaking views. Educators explain its historical significance as a defense system and the engineering marvels behind its construction. A team-building activity like a "wall relay race" is included.  

   - Duration: 4 hours.  

2. Olympic Park (水立方 & 鸟巢)  

   On return to Beijing, visit the Water Cube (aquatic sports venue) and Bird's Nest Stadium (Olympic Stadium). Interactive exhibits showcase China's sporting achievements, and students create Olympic-themed crafts.  

   - Duration: 1.5 hours.

Day 4Day 4 (Wednesday): Educational Exchange and Summer Palace

1. School Immersion (人大附中或附小 or 清华附中或附小)  

  Students spend half a day at a top Beijing school, participating in Chinese language classes, calligraphy workshops, and traditional music lessons. They share cultural presentations with local students.

2、Summer Palace (颐和园)  

  This imperial garden blends lakes, pavilions, and gardens. Students take a guided boat ride on Kunming Lake and walk the Long Corridor, adorned with mythological paintings. Activities include sketching traditional architecture or learning Chinese painting.

Day 5Day 5 (Thursday): Spiritual & Cultural Exploration

1. Temple of Heaven (天坛)  

  Students tour this iconic temple complex where emperors prayed for good harvests. A guide explains ancient rituals and symbolism, followed by a hands-on activity like practicing Tai Chi in the park.  

   - Duration: 2.5 hours.  

2. High-Speed Train to Hangzhou  

  Depart Beijing West Railway Station on a 4.5-hour bullet train to Hangzhou. Students learn about China's modern transportation advancements.  

   - Evening: Check into hotel and enjoy a dinner featuring local dishes like Dongpo Pork.

Day 6Day 6 (Friday): Hangzhou School Exchange

- Hangzhou School Visit: Engage in cross-cultural activities at a local school, such as tea ceremony workshops, silk painting, or gardening. Students exchange gifts and perform skits about their home countries.

Day 7Day 7 (Saturday): West Lake & Cultural Immersion

1. West Lake (西湖)  

  Take a boat tour to admire the lake's "Ten Scenes," including the Leifeng Pagoda. Students participate in a poetry-reading session inspired by classical Chinese verses about West Lake.  

   - Duration: 3 hours.  

 

2. Lingyin Temple (灵隐寺)  

  Visit one of China's oldest Buddhist temples. Students learn about Buddhist philosophy, meditation practices, and observe traditional incense ceremonies.  

   - Duration: 2 hours.  

3. City Tour: Explore Hangzhou's modern landmarks.

Day 8Day 8 (Sunday): Nature & Ecology

1. Xixi National Wetland Park (西溪湿地)

   - Duration: 4 hours.  

2. Farewell Cultural Experience: A Chinese tea ceremony or traditional puppet show concludes the day.

Day 9Day 9 (Monday): Departure

Morning flight back to home country.
